My watercolors are inspired by surrealism, the murky greyscale of vintage portrait photography, and the visceral technique of urban art. With color, juxtaposition of symbolic imagery & carefully composed negative space I build a story from uncontrolled pigment and vast blank spaces. I'm a California based artist with a Bachelors Degree in Visual Art living in Pasadena.

This watercolor portrait series began in October 2012. I wanted a creative partner, not just an art medium, and watercolor has just the right mind of its own. My passion for womens issues bubbled to the surface subconsciously through female portraits and the obsession has been hanging on tight ever since.
