Suzy Pal Powell

Suzy Pal Powell

Suzy Pal Powell ; "I have been painting in watercolor since about 1990.  Along with the watercolors, I do lots of drawing, sketching, collages and now I have started doing oil paintings. I love bright colors, and western art is my favorite subject, even though I don't do a lot of it. Watercolor is my favorite medium but the torn paper collages run a close race!
I started doing the torn paper in 2010 and have really enjoyed them.  Some have been licensed, and sold at Kohls, and Home Goods Stores.

I am a signature member of Southwestern Watercolor Society SWS, Wyoming Watercolor Society WyWS, and Artists of Texas  AOT.

George Gallo

George Gallo

George Gallo was born in 1956. He began painting at an early age and was especially attracted to landscapes as a way to express himself. He studied under the Russian master George Cherepov in Greenwich, Connecticut for three years.

Gallo's approach is to paint outdoors en plein air no matter the size of canvas.
He considers the act of painting a performance. He is very much inspired by the
works of Edward Redfield and Daniel Garber, both masters of the Pennsylvania Impressionist movement.

James Bullough

James Bullough

James Bullough is an American born artist living and working in Berlin, Germany. His paintings, and huge monumentally scaled site-specific murals, are phenomenal combinations of realist painting technique and graphic punctuation. Inspired by gritty urban graffiti as a young artist growing up in Washington, DC, Bullough harnessed its energy in his work, and perfected a realistic oil painting technique from his study of the Old Masters. Combining the momentum of the one and the technical precision of the other, his work is about staging compelling contrasts and juxtapositions. Working in everything from oil, spray paint and ink on canvas, Bullough’s paintings strike a balance between realistic figurations and stylized interruption.

Kim Roberti

Kim Roberti

Kim Roberti, artist.
My art journey really started in earnest in 2000. I began by studying 'how-to' books and learning from artists near and far, including six years of private studies with the renown masters Sherrie McGraw and David Leffel. In 2007, I  participated in the Dailypainters group. Since then I have painted from 1 to 3 small paintings a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. Painting is my life! I favor figures/portraits as subjects. I have found rich and endlessly interesting ways to express myself. I continue to paint and learn everyday.
The fast-pace and ever-changing commercial landscape of e-commerce opened an unexpected source of revenue for me. Through my blog,  Dailypaintwork, FASO, I have garnered thousands of collectors from many corners of the world. My work is very affordable can be easily collect through eBay. I continue to hone my craft on a daily basis and you can visit my art on kimsartblog.blogspot.com.

Kate Zambrano

Kate Zambrano

A consistently wide-eyed wanderer, Kate Zambrano explores the human condition though visual stimulation.  Often coupling the standard idealization of beauty with a deep, haunting melancholy, she uses monochromatic and subtle colors in her paintings to create a genuine and simplified journey into individuality.  She works with different mediums and techniques as well as incorporating texture and drips to create an unsettling concept of what is attractive.

Ewa Ludwiczak

Ewa Ludwiczak

My name is Ewa Ludwiczak and I am a professional artist based in Berlin, Germany.

I was born in Nowa Sol, Poland in 1988. Ever since I can remember, I have always loved to draw. During my school years I spent most of my time learning foreign languages and art history.

At the age of 19 I moved to Germany and started my studies at a private art school, where I was finally able to concentrate fully on improving my artistic skills. It was there that I learnt the importance of drawing which, in my case, became the key to understanding my subject matter and enabled me to explore different art genres, such as storybook illustration and watercolour painting.

I fell in love with watercolour shortly after graduating and have been experimenting with different methods to teach myself this difficult medium. Finally, I've discovered the books by Charles Reid and was fascinated by his philosophy and wonderful, loose style. I couldn't have hoped for a better teacher to guide me through the process of watercolour painting.

Steve Hanks

Steve Hanks

Steve Hanks was born into a military family in San Diego in 1949. His father was a highly decorated WWII Navy flyer.  Steve Hanks grew up playing tennis and surfing along the beaches of Southern California. “The ocean made a strong and lasting impression on me. It was good for the soul to be out in the water — surfing, swimming, or simply getting in touch with its mysterious power.”
The family was transferred to New Mexico when Steve was a junior. After high school he attended the Academy of Fine Arts in San Francisco, earning excellent marks in commercial art and figure drawing. He transferred to the California College of Arts and Crafts, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
