Alicja Słaboń Urbaniak

Alicja Słaboń Urbaniak

Urodziła się w Krakowie. Obecnie mieszka i pracuje w podkrakowskiej wsi Modlnica.

O, yüzeyi soyutla somutun her an çekiştiği bir serüvene dönüştürmeye çalışıyor.

Moje prace cechuje mocna i wyraźna faktura nadająca im ekspresyjny charakter. Zawsze starannie wyszukuję mebli o ciekawych formach i dobrym stanie technicznym, by mogły służyć jeszcze przez wiele lat. Zapraszam do oglądania moich prac. Wykonuję też obrazy i meble na zamówienie. Steve Weed

Steve Weed

Steve Weed was raised under the dramatic skies of Oklahoma, Texas, and the mountains of New Mexico, and was influenced early by their visual impact.
At the age of 13 he knew he wanted to make his mark in life as an image maker.

On the heels of awards and scholarships for his artistic talents, Steve earned a BFA from the University of Texas at San Antonio before embarking on a career in graphic design, photography, and fine art that is well known in the San Antonio and the South Texas region. His work hangs in the private collections of well-known clients, corporations, and institutions across the nation.

Over the years he’s been commissioned for art (water color and oil mediums), graphic design, photography - even high profile courtroom renderings and celebrity portraiture. As a young artist, he studied printmaking in Europe before opening his own art gallery and frame shop and creating hallmark icons for the celebrated Fiesta San Antonio.

Kate Kos

Kate Kos

 Kate Kos;
about me
I was born in 1980 in Poland. Although my family didn’t appreciate art, I was always drawn to it. Since I remember I have always sketched a lot and when it came to making choices about my future I decided to study to be an architect, a good compromise between a ‘proper job’ and my love for drawing.
I came to Ireland in my mid twenties, in 2004. I’ve started painting around 7 years ago with a watercolour set purchased in Lidl! When it comes to watercolour I am mainly self-thought.
In 2013 I won first prize at ‘Artfest’ competition in Gorey which gave me great confidence boost, following that I have regularly done live portraits in The Gaslamp Gallery in Gorey and display work around Gorey and Arklow.
Last summer I organized paint along classes in watercolour which proved to be popular.

Ivars Jansons

Ivars Jansons

Ivars was born in Latvia in 1939. After completing his secondary education Ivars took up architectural studies where the opportunity arose to express him self artistically so he would often produce small watercolor studies.
In 1964 Ivars turned professional and in 1967 held his first solo exhibition in Green Glades Gallery Melbourne, one of many successful exhibitions which were sold out within an hour of opening. Painting trips locally and interstate were very much a part of Ivars career. In 1969 he painted extensively in New Zealand and in 1972 traveled overseas to expand his knowledge in art. Leonard Fuller was Ivars teacher at the St Ives School of Painting. Ivars became interested in portraiture and figure work as a result of his studies. However the rugged beauty of the Cornish countryside tempted him to paint his surroundings. After seventeen months abroad studying painting and visiting Europe’s finest galleries Ivars and his family returned to Australia.

Guan Zeju (关则驹)

Guan Zeju (关则驹)

GUAN ZE JU..

Times of great upheaval often produce great artists. This seems to be a truism for the Twentieth Century. Its two world wars created environments rich with constant reevaluations of the role and purpose of art. Powerful movements, such as Surrealism, altered the way people view the world and communicate with each other. Similar contributions to the world of art from Asia have thus far not been wholly appreciated, such as the legacy provided by China's Social Realists. One of the greatest of these Social Realists is Guan Zeju.

Guan Zeju has lived through some of the most tumultuous times in China's five thousand year history. He has become a masterful painter and a great teacher through intense discipline and effort and obviously a great deal of inherent talent. As a teenager, people called him the "painting ox" for his single-minded focus, both in Western and in traditional Chinese modes of expression. Again and again, when he is asked about his experiences, his birth in 1941 in a small village outside of Guangzhou (Canton), his formal and informal education and apprenticeships, he returns to the same word in Mandarin, meaning roughly "effort."

Igor Oussenko

Igor Oussenko

Igor Oussenko, an amazingly talented fashion photographer from Ekaterinburg, Russia. Some of you may be familiar with his Kaleidoscope photography series for a fashion retailer.

Andre Deymonaz

Andre Deymonaz

Andre Deymonaz was born in Casablanca in 1946 into an artistic travelling family, eventually settling in France. Painting rapidly becoming his passion as he grew up and became married to his wife, Chantel, who supported him as he went from one successful exhibition to another repeatedly, the demand for his originals outmatching his ability to supply.

His paintings, both serene and lively, exhibit a strong contrast on the sandy beaches he loved so as a child in the Mediterranean, the sun glancing off the sand to give a real sense of warmth to the paintings. Staying within realism, the fine artist pays strong attention to the composition of his paintings, keeping the focus of the painting within the middle vertical third of his painting whilst often keeping it off centre, ultimately creating a vivid recreation of his fond memories.
